{SERIES} “My Second Pregnancy” Week 18 – Bronwen

Welcome to another installment of My second pregnancy series!

This week Bronwen shares her 18th week of pregnancy with us.

Week: 18

Symptoms: Feeling movement & major skin breakouts

Mood: All over the place

Energy levels: Low to nonexistent

Cravings: Rice has become a staple & spicy food/sauces

Food / smell Aversions: Still bacon

Missing: Having a glass of wine, & feeling comfortable in my skin

Looking forward to: The 20wk scan to make sure all is good with the bub before I run the OMTOM (Two Oceans Marathon-doing the 21km) in 10 days time

Stretch marks: Still none. Didn’t have with the 1st pregnancy either (bio oil is your friend)

Belly button: Popped? Nope

Baby size: Big enough for me to feel him move

Gender prediction: Boy

18 weeks Pregnant:

Baby growth: At 18 weeks baby is growing fast and you can feel him doing somersaults, kicks and little punches. He has also started hiccupping and yawning. He now has fingerprints on his fingers and toes.

Baby size: At 18 weeks the size of a bell pepper 14cm 150g

This series is aimed at educating, encouraging, uplifting and empowering pregnant women. I loved reading real life stories while I was pregnant with my first child in 2014. I found it so empowering and informing. It made my crazy symptoms feel normal and I could relate to other women experiencing similar symptoms. The series will focus on first time and second time moms;how they found out they were expecting,different trimesters and symptoms with beautiful growing belly pictures.
